Choosing what to wear for family pictures can be one of the most stressful parts of family photo time. Here are some simple tips to make outfit choosing less stressful and go great in any family photo setting.
- Don’t stress too much about outfits. This is suggestion number one for a reason! Don’t stress about it. Chances are you have something in your closet already that would work great.
- Dress mom first. When mama is happy everyone is happy 😊.
- Avoid: Neon colors, spaghetti straps, visible logos.
- Add: patterns, layers, and accessories. These all add great dimension and just the right pop! Think plaid, floral patterns, scarfs, jewelry, cardigans, etc.
- Instead of saying everyone wear blue and white and picking one or two colors that everyone needs to match in, say wear cool colors, warm colors, fall colors, bright colors, etc. This makes it easier to find something for everyone.
- Ask where are your photos being taken and think of colors to compliment your surroundings? At the beach? Cool colors look great. Fall family photos? Pick a warm fall color palate. Here in Ogden valley we have just about every setting possible so complementing your surroundings is important.
